Electroforming Steampunk Style

I knew when I started making plans to try electroforming and metalsmithing that I'd have to bring my own artistic twist to the table. Not only is electroformed crystal jewelry extremely popular at the moment - making it almost as competitive as handmade jewelry in general - the design styles have settled into some recognizable patterns. Part of what I enjoy about art is the opportunity to break established molds as often as possible.

So while you'll still see some standardized crystal pendant formats in my work, I will also be challenging myself to try new things, whether that includes leaves, or gears, or quirky ideas in between. I plan to keep experimenting with what works, knowing I'll miss the mark regularly. Feel free to chime in when you do (or don't) like a new idea.
